Dallas Marathon Organizers Announce Sellout of 2014 MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon
DALLAS (Dec. 4, 2014) - Organizers of the 44th running of the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon announced today that the half marathon has sold out. No further registrants will be accepted for the half marathon or marathon, which sold out on Nov. 14. Race organizers are encouraging runners to register today for the Behringer Relay, as fewer than 10 entries remain available.
"We are thrilled with the level of excitement we've seen for the marathon and half marathon this year," said Patrick Byerly, president of the Dallas Marathon. "With a full participant field, we expect to deliver an exceptionally memorable race day for all runners and spectators involved on Sunday, Dec. 14."
The MetroPCS Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay start and finish in downtown Dallas and follow a course highlighting Dallas' most entertaining and stately neighborhoods. Proceeds from MetroPCS Dallas Marathon race weekend are donated to benefit the race's primary beneficiary, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
