Dallas Sports Commission (DSC)
Executive Update, December 2018

Texas-OU 2.0 took place on December 1 at the Big 12 Championship Game as the Longhorns and Sooners met for the second time this season.  Oklahoma avenged their loss to Texas in October's thrilling Red River Showdown with a 39-27 win to capture the Big 12 title.  With 83,114 fans looking on at AT&T Stadium, the game broke the Conference Championship attendance record previously held by the 1992 SEC Championship Game.

The BMW Dallas Marathon Weekend took place December 7-9 in Downtown Dallas with the signature marathon on December 9.  The marathon was established in 1971 and is Dallas' largest and Texas' longest-running marathon.  The weekend also featured a half marathon, relay and a Health & Fitness Expo in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
