BIG Wins were happening at the NCA High School Nationals!

Dallas' first major cheerleading competition took place January 27-28 with the NCA Senior & Junior High School National Championship at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas.  Champions were crowned from more than 30 divisions as teams from schools around the country came to prove that the work is worth it!

Volleyball season also kicked off in January with the Summit Volleyball American Volleyball Challenge.  270 teams from ages 11-17 participated in the 2-day tournament.  The Dallas Sports Commission will be hosting volleyball tournaments through May including the Mizuno Lone Star Classic in April and the USA Volleyball Open Championships in May.

The Dallas Sports Commission also hosted their quarterly hotel partner meeting on January 31.  Over 40 hotels were represented to learn about our future major events and receive detailed information regarding upcoming major event bids.
