World Food Championships

Reunion Tower Lawn was the site of the 8th Annual World Food Championships, the highest stakes food competition in the world!  More than 1400 chefs and cooks from 42 states and 15 countries came to Dallas from October 16-20 for a chance at TV fame and a slice of the $350,000 grand prize.  Food Sport's top event also featured local university and high school culinary programs, a Granny Grilling challenge, and a Dallas Food Truck Smash Up.

DSC earns "Sales Team of the Year" at the VisitDallas Sales Awards

On October 28, VisitDallas honored its top sales performances for the past year and the Dallas Sports Commission took home "Sales Team of the Year" honors.  Among the several accolades for the DSC, Sales Director Ginger Lively Cade was named the "Salesperson of the Year" and Business Development Director Joe Albsmeyer was recognized for having the top conversion percentage for the year.  Ginger and Joe also placed 1-2 for the Highest Booked Room Nights Received!
