How difficult is it to find your niche in sports media? What are the things that stand out to media executives that aspiring members of the media should be doing?

I don't think it's difficult to find your niche in sports media because every aspect of this business is directly connected to the other...meaning that once you decide that sports media is the career you want to get into, then it's about learning as much as you can about everything you can because you never know what you will be asked to do. Versatility is the name of the game when it comes to sports media. You've gotta be well rounded and committed to learning as much as possible to let the higher ups know that you can handle any challenges that come your way. Whether it's being called at the last minute to cover a shift or stepping out of your comfort zone to go report on a sport you're not super familiar with, stepping up the plate and producing great content will go a long way in letting everyone know how talented and dedicated you are in succeeding in the business.  ?
