Texas BEST Robotics Previews the 2025 BEST of Texas Robotics Championship Event
Texas BEST Robotics, in partnership with the Dallas Sports Commission, will host a press conference today to preview the upcoming BEST of Texas Robotics Championship, set to take place December 11-13, 2025, at the Fair Park Dallas Coliseum. The event, which is poised to bring together over 80 competitive teams and 11 first-time Rookie Bowl teams, has gained tremendous support from key community partners, including the Texas Workforce Commission, University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Instruments, Qorvo, and Stacer Group among others.
The BEST of Texas Robotics is dedicated to sparking a passion for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) in the hearts of middle and high school students. By fostering creativity and innovation, BEST of Texas Robotics aims to empower the next generation to harness the potential of these disciplines to solve real-world challenges.
“The Texas Workforce Grants totaling $788,150 ($99,050 for Camp Code and $689,100 for Youth Robotics) have been truly transformative for BEST Robotics,” said Johannes Starks, National Executive Director for BEST Robotics, Inc. “These investments allow us to expand work-based learning opportunities by engaging high school programs not only to provide food for volunteers and serve as interns in marketing, but also to create and deliver the curriculum for Camp Code and to develop and implement the software used at our championships.”
This year’s Texas BEST Championship Game will feature over 200 volunteers and is expected to draw an audience of more than 5,000 attendees. The event offers three days of intense competition, showcasing the achievements of students from more than 220 schools across Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
Additionally, this year includes unique community partnerships to enhance the competitors’ experience:
· Donations contributed to BEST of Texas Robotics during North Texas Giving Day provided 1,200 complimentary meals to all students and teams
· In partnership with several school district Culinary Student Teams including DeSoto ISD and Grand Prairie ISD, food for our Volunteers will be purchased through student catering teams to further support youth-centered career experience
· A nationwide online auction being held September through December 2025 will use all proceeds from this event to directly support our mission of delivering accessible, real-world robotics programming to over 650 student teams and with no fees for the schools, teachers, or families involved. This will include robotics kits for every team (approximately $1,000 per team, student and educator training programs ($450 per student or teacher trained) and the production of three Regional Championship events held in Alabama, Texas, and Kansas (approximately $50 per student or $1,000 per team)
· The complimentary snacks for the Student Lounge will be provided by HEB
· Industry and Alumni Panels will be presented
The Texas BEST Championship Game is not just a competition — it's a celebration of innovation, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence. BEST of Texas Robotics, through its partnerships with educational institutions and corporate sponsors, is working to ensure that every student has the opportunity to explore and realize their potential in STEAM.
