The American Airlines Center is the cornerstone of Victory Park, a 70-acre urban gathering space that is the largest EPA brownfield project in the United States. This $420 million facility, that is best known as home to the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and the NHL's Dallas Stars, is a multi-purpose arena that can transform itself to host a multitude of events. Arena football, gymnastics, WWE events, Motocross, bull riding, figure skating, circuses, and major concerts are just a small fraction of events that have been held at the American Airlines Center. The arena's unique design and advanced technology allow for quick surface changes, for example, changing the basketball floor to an NHL ice rink can be done in less than two hours. Renovations in 2009 allowed the American Airlines Center to have the first 1080 HD video scoreboards in an NBA or NHL arena. With 105 luxury suites, 78 theater boxes and awards in architectural design, customer service, and green technology, the American Airlines Center is nothing short of a world class facility.
