TWU Soccer Field

Construction on the new TWU Soccer Field, located east of Pioneer Hall where Mary Hufford Hall once stood, was completed in August 2007. The complex is completely enclosed with fences and includes a competition field, scoreboard, lights, admissions gate, bleacher seating as well as hillside seating, team benches, public address system, and irrigation system. The competition field features Celebration Bermuda grass, a rapidly growing hybrid that is drought tolerant and requires moderate watering, mowing and maintenance. The project, which is being built in phases to include an elevated press box, storage, and permanent seating in the future, now gives the Pioneers an on-campus home again. The TWU Soccer Field can be used for summer camps, postseason high school and college games, and coaching clinics.
