Chris Petrucelli

Chris Petrucelli, a two-time National Coach of the Year and NCAA Championship-winning coach, returned to Texas as General Manager of Dallas Trinity FC in 2024. Over his 30-year head coaching career, he compiled a 415-178-52 record. Prior to DTFC, Petrucelli served as head coach of the NWSL’s Chicago Red Stars (2022-23). He previously spent a decade leading SMU’s women’s soccer program (2012-22) and 13 seasons at the University of Texas (1999-2011), where he guided the Longhorns to Big 12 titles in 2006 and 2007. Petrucelli also coached the U.S. Women’s U-21 National Team, winning back-to-back Nordic Cup championships in 2003 and 2004. He began his head coaching career at Notre Dame (1990-98), leading the Fighting Irish to the 1995 NCAA Championship and earning National Coach of the Year honors in 1994 and 1995.
