A veteran of the hospitality industry, Ginger Lively-Cade has been a part of the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau for 20 years. Her career in sports began as a student assistant in the athletic department at her alma mater, the University of North Texas, and quickly advanced into the hospitality industry where she gravitated into sales and service. As the Sports Sales Director, her main focus is to attract large sporting events and conventions that utilize the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, most of which affect our city hotel community as a citywide event.
Cade played in integral role in preparing the Dallas bid for the 2012 Summer Olympics, Super Bowl XLV, NBA All-Star Game, NCAA Men's and Women's Final Four, Big 12 Championships, Inaugural College Football National Championship Game and numerous other premier youth and Olympic sporting events. She represents the DSC on various committees including the National Association of Sports Commissions, Special Olympics Region 10 and the Dallas Fort Worth Area Sports Alliance. She and her husband, Ras, recently started a custom saddle business and enjoy spending time with their animal family including Labrador Retrievers and English Bulldogs as well as traveling the calf roping and rodeo trail.
"Managing the logistics and accessibility for our event is formidable. The Dallas Sports Commission was an outstanding partner that embraced our program, our Veterans and helped open doors that were essential for the success of our event. " Dave Tostenrude Director National Veterans Wheelchair Games
