Stacey Segal comes to the Dallas Sports Commission from HomeTown Ticketing where she served as the Director of School Partnerships. During her time there, she led strategy, partnerships, and innovation to build relationships with K-12 schools, and state athletic director associations nationwide.
Previously, Segal spent twenty – eight years in education as an Assistant Director of Athletics for Dallas ISD, Assistant Principal, and collegiate Head Softball Coach at the D. I, NAIA, and JUCO levels.
While in Dallas ISD, Segal promoted to redesign processes and systems, implemented programming for efficient operations at the local, state, and national level, formalized coaches’ evaluations, created strategic action plans, advised on budgets, RFPs, wrote grants, onboarded, and led leadership development.
Segal was awarded the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Frank Kovaleski Professional Development Award for Texas and Section 6 (CO, AR, NM, LA, TX, OK) in 2021, and the NIAAA State Award of Merit - Texas, 2020. She has written numerous publications and webinars for athletic administrators. While serving the NIAAA, Segal was a member of the National Teaching Faculty, and Vice Chair of the Coaches Education Committee.
Segal is no stranger to the Dallas Sports Commission. She recently served as a member of the Local Organizing Committee for the Women’s Final Four as the “Read to the Final Four” Coordinator, and Volunteer Ambassador. In 2017, Segal served as the Women’s Final Four Ball Kid Liaison and was a panelist for the “Beyond the Baseline Speaker Series.” She also volunteered for the NFL and NHL Draft, as well as the Dallas Marathon, where she is also a past participant.
Segal earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Education degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University – Shreveport.
She is a member of Women in Sports & Events (WISE), Global Community of Women in High School Sports (GCWHSS), Texas High School Athletic Director’s Association (THSADA), Texas A&M University Letterman’s Association, and National Organization of Minority Athletic Directors (NOMAD).
In her free time, Stacey enjoys attending all sporting events with her family, playing golf, collecting sports memorabilia, riding her motorcycle, and spending time outdoors.
