Teneisha McKinney


Biography
Teneisha McKinney comes to the Dallas Sports Commission from Wichita State University, where she served as the Director of Business Operations. During her time there, she ensured the development and growth goals of the department, managed budgets, created strategic and DE&I plans, and collaborated with partners. In her previous role as the Assistant Athletic Director and Compliance Administrator at Langston University, Teneisha oversaw nine varsity-level competitive sports and one club sport. In addition to these responsibilities, she assisted with program travel, and community engagement and served as the operations manager on game days.
Throughout her career, McKinney has been active in administrating events for the NBA, MLB, various minor league baseball, basketball, and football events, and various collegiate affiliations. Duties have included promotions and sponsorship, fan experience and entertainment, administering game-day scripting, and facilitating pre-game accommodations.
Ms. McKinney is the 2022 Wichita Business Journal 40 Under 40 Nominee, 2021 Wichita Business Journal Emerging Leader recipient, 2016 Langston University Young Alumnus Award, a lifetime member of the Langston University National Alumni Association, a member of the NAACP Wichita Branch, serves on several committees, and is a proud active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.
