Let's Bring the World Cup to Dallas #Dallas2026

Dallas Awarded NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament Games

Dallas (April 18, 2017) – The NCAA announced today that Dallas has been named as a host city for the 2020 Women's Basketball Regional and the 2021 Men's Basketball 1st & 2nd Rounds.

The 2020 Women's Regional will be hosted by SMU and the Dallas Sports Commission at Moody Coliseum.  This will mark the first time that Moody will host a Women's Basketball Regional.  The city of Dallas last hosted a Women's Basketball Regional in 2016.

In 2021, the Men's 1st & 2nd Rounds will be hosted by the Big 12 Conference and the Dallas Sports Commission at the American Airlines Center.  Next March the AAC will also host the 2018 Men's 1st & 2nd Round.  Earlier this month, the AAC hosted sellout crowds for the 2017 NCAA Women's Final Four.

"We appreciate that the NCAA has again selected Dallas to host tournament basketball," said Monica Paul, Executive Director of the Dallas Sports Commission.  "Our basketball fans are very passionate as we followed up our 2016 Women's Regional with a sold-out Women's Final Four earlier this month.  We look forward to the exciting NCAA action coming to Dallas in 2018, 2020 and 2021."
