Dallas Sports Commission Announces Continued Partnership with National Cheerleaders Association
Dallas Sports Commission announced a new 2025-2028 agreement with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA), a Varsity Spirit brand, for both the NCA All-Star Nationals and NCA High School Nationals events.
DALLAS (April 23, 2024) – Since 1981, Dallas has been home to NCA as they’ve hosted the largest and most prestigious all star and school cheerleading competitions in the world. The decades-long partnership has resulted in incomparable economic impact. Since 2014 alone, NCA All-Star Nationals and NCA High School Nationals have had a combined economic impact of over $600 million and supported over 3,400 local jobs.
The 2024 NCA All-Star National Championship was record-breaking across the board. Registration for the event sold out within 24 minutes. Over 57% of the 66,394 attendees were from out of state, with 1,553 teams competing.
As the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) undergoes an extensive expansion and upgrade, NCA events will be minimally impacted with some unique adjustments for the 2025-2026 events season.
NCA All-Star Nationals, one of the most anticipated events in All Star cheerleading, will continue to be hosted at the KBHCCD in Dallas, Texas with a temporary shift to January in 2026.
NCA High School Nationals will temporarily move to the Fort Worth Convention Center in 2026. This temporary move to Fort Worth underscores the commitment NCA has to providing diverse and exceptional venues for cheer and dance competitions.
“These adjustments to our events in Dallas for the 2025-2026 season reflect our dedication to innovation and excellence in cheer and dance in the Dallas community,” said Justin Carrier, Vice President of Competition Experience for Varsity Spirit. “Because of Varsity Spirit’s championships, Dallas has become a major destination for cheerleaders across the country and around the world. We are excited about enhancing the experience for all participants and attendees at our events and looking forward to our future in Dallas.”
“The energy, enthusiasm and passion of the NCA All-Star National Championship has been a staple of Dallas’ sports landscape for nearly three decades, and we are ecstatic the partnership continues,” said Anthony Lopez, General Manager of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. “We look forward to many more years of hosting the prestigious NCA All-Star Nationals and NCA High School Nationals, celebrating the growth and new opportunities for our events and the convention center.”
We are proud and honored to continue our commitment as the premier destination for the National Cheerleaders Association,” said Monica Paul, Executive Director, Dallas Sports Commission. “The NCA All-Star Nationals and NCA High School Nationals have a tremendously positive impact in our community, and our local businesses feel that impact every single year. The spirit of competitive cheerleading and dance thrive across our region, making Dallas and Fort Worth the ideal stages for the NCA competitions.:
All NCA events for the 2024-2025 season will be hosted in Dallas as scheduled.
Varsity Spirit hosts 12 to 15 events in the DFW metroplex each year.
