Dr Pepper Ballpark is the home of the Texas Rangers AA affiliate, the Frisco Roughriders. This unique ballpark is described as a "park within a park" because the architecture resembles a community village. Its nine interconnected pavilions include luxury suites, concessions, a team store, and restrooms all of which are isolated from the main seating area. This design allows for more air flow through the stadium to help cool the ballpark from the Texas heat. Built in 2003, modern facilities throughout the stadium make Dr Pepper Ballpark an ideal location for concerts, charity events and even wedding receptions. This stadium has been honored with numerous awards including being ranked as the fifth best minor league ballpark in America according to Baseball American in 2009.
